I did a dinner for 700 people at Guildhall, London, where Diana, Princess of Wales, was the star guest, for the Royal Marsden hospital. I had 100 egomaniacs cooking, who all behaved themselves except for Marco Pierre White, who was trying to wind me up. I call Delia the Volvo of cooking – perfectly safe.
